What type of surveys do we offer?
Our site surveys include; new project surveys, system take-over surveys, fault finding surveys for existing systems, Lutron Homeworks surveys and Crestron system surveys.
Why do we charge for surveys?
Our surveys are chargeable because our project managers and technical advisors are highly trained and extensively knowledgeable about their product categories. We want to provide you with a professional survey with extensive survey reports and proposals – we feel this level of service is quite rightly chargeable.
Are survey costs redeemable?
The cost of any survey is fully redeemable if you go ahead with the post-survey proposed works. The cost of the survey will be taken off your first invoice.
What’s the aim and the outcome of the survey?
With new project surveys, we aim to help the client understand exactly what their needs are and to understand the various merits and solutions that can be achieved. This can be anything from completely educating a client about what’s possible from scratch, or steering or refining their ideas further. The main aim of the survey is to help build a specification from which a proposal and quotation can be put together.
Our fault finding surveys aim to find any problems within your existing system and propose a fix or solution. Our technicians will review the systems, produce a survey report and create a proposal and quotation to resolve.

Aim of the survey
The whole point of this survey is to sit you down with a residential specialist to discuss and understand exactly what you’re looking to achieve with your residential project. They’ll take your idea and turn it into a concept, specification and ultimately something that can be priced and form the basis of a project proposal.
If you don’t have the slightest idea of what you want or where to start then our residential specialist will help educate you to understand the merits of various solution and find out what might be best suited to you.
After the survey
You’ll have a point of contact who will be with you throughout your project and after your survey they will:
- Produce a specification and bespoke personalised proposal
- Create a quotation
- Discuss ways to budgets or value engineer the proposal

The aim of this survey is to meet with your team to discuss and understand your requirements and your project. They’ll review your specific aims and needs and turn this into a specification and a project proposal.
Similarly to our residential specialists, if you don’t have an idea of what you want or what you’re looking to achieve then our commercial specialist will help educate you to understand the merits of various solution and find out what might be best suited to you.

Fault Finding Survey - Lutron
This survey is perfect for residential clients who have an existing Lutron lighting system that was likely installed by others which is now partially or fully in fault.
Aim of the survey
The aim of this survey is to get under the hood of your existing Lutron system and understand the current status of the system, diagnose faults and formulate a solution.
Our Lutron specialist will connect to the system to diagnose the faults you’re experiencing. If there is a quick, non mechanical – programming based solution to the issue they will also be able to implement this most of the time.
After the survey
You’ll have a point of contact who will be with you throughout your project and after your survey they will:
- Produce detailed survey report highlighting the issues
- Create a quotation to rectify
- Discuss ways to budgets or value engineer the proposal

Fault Finding / System Change Survey - Crestron
This survey is perfect for residential or commercial clients who have an existing Crestron automation system that was likely installed by others which is now partially or fully in fault or which requires upgrading, expanding, reprogramming or preference changes.
Aim of the survey
The aim of this survey is to understand the Crestron system, discover the original programmer, identify faults and understand the clients’ requirements for existing system expansion, improvement, reprogramming or changes.
Our Crestron specialist will spend time understanding the system hierarchy, diagnosing faults and reviewing the wider existing system in general.
After the survey
You’ll have a point of contact who will be with you throughout your project and after your survey they will:
- Produce detailed survey report highlighting the issues
- Create a quotation to rectify, make changes or adapt the existing system
- Discuss ways to budgets or value engineer the proposal
