A large London based large home whose younger inhabitants had flown the nest had some seriously stylish interior decoration and a Crestron Home system to match.

This creative automation project fused Lutron Homeworks integrated lighting solutions with the new Crestron Home platform to control lighting, shading, audiovisual, climate, security and access control.

The Crestron Home Automation platform works hand in hand with the Lutron HomeWorks lighting system to provide robust control over all elements of the home, including media distribution, lighting, shading, HVAC, access and security. A myriad of handheld remotes and top-line touchscreens work throughout the property as points of control.

Media is distributed to every room of the house with 4K video content sent using Crestron’s award-winning NVX system over IP and distributed audio to 18 independent controllable zones.

We installed a central data network backbone with faultless wired and wireless access, with guest access and smart home usage separated on separate VLANs ensuring the user experience was always optimal.

We also installed a home cinema with a 75″ LG 4K screen for day-to-day viewing, hidden behind a moveable panel. This is complemented by a 120″ electronic screen complete with a 4K JVC projector.

This project emphatically delivered in providing deep control of every element of the home in a beautiful cohesion between timeless interior design and technology.
