This large family home was undergoing a top to bottom fit out and need a custom home automation system to handle the client’s exacting security needs.

Central to the refurbishment was a Lutron HomeWorks integrated lighting system to control every room in the house. Lutron’s control of the lighting was flawless as we would expect and the client was amazed with the level of control offered by a smart lighting system. The lighting system was fully automated, meaning light levels adjusted depending on the time of day and shades dropped to follow the path of the sun. Highlights of the lighting control include a ‘Vacation Mode’ which mimicked the property’s occupancy when the client was travelling for added security.

Custom Crestron Automation sat next to the Lutron lighting system to provide robust control over all elements of the home, including media distribution, lighting, shading, HVAC, and of course security.

Home security was core to this installation and we provided 18 top of the range 4K Axis security cameras with commercial grade server storage. This was paired with GJD smart intruder detection; laser walls dissected the perimeter of the property and if these lasers were broken, strobe lighting and alarms are emitted throughout the interior and exterior of the property.

This project not only delivered root and branch in providing control of every facet of the home in a beautiful cohesion between timeless interior design and technology, but by creating an intelligently secure property for the owner’s needs.
