We were asked by the owners of this mid-sized Spanish finca to create a home automation system for their holiday home. The aim was to turn this old property into a cutting-edge smart home that they could monitor from anywhere in the world.

We installed a Lutron HomeWorks QS system to provide smart lighting in every room of the property, giving the owners and guests beautiful scene control and automated shading functionality.

Crestron Home Automation is working the front end to control the AV system and provide robust control over the various smart components of the property, including media, lighting, shading, HVAC, access and security. A myriad of handheld remotes and top-line touchscreens work throughout the farmhouse to provide a familiar go-to point of control.

Media is distributed to screens throughout the farmhouse, including in the garden, with 4K video content over IP and distributed audio to 12 independent controllable internal and external zones.

We installed a central data network backbone with faultless wired and wireless access throughout the farmhouse and its grounds.

To provide overwatch of the property, we installed eight top of the range 4K Axis security cameras with light storage.

This has been a great overseas installation, which remains ongoing as the project grows in size.
